phenanthroline chemical reaction
« on: December 09, 2008, 07:56:25 PM »
When molybdenum hexacarbonyl with formula Mo(CO)6 reacts with phananthroline C12H8N2 in the presence of toluene, what is the chemical formula of the substance produced?

It should be a neutral phenanthroline complex which is then reacted with tetraphenylphosphonium choloride in the presence of toluene and acetonitrile to give an anionic phenanthroline complex but I am unable to determine the structure of this anionic complex.

Please help

P.S. I posted this in inorganics by mistake and cannot delete, just for moderators to know that I am aware I cant post more than once the same Q. thanks
