Open Source Chemistry Dictionary for Word Processing
« on: February 11, 2008, 03:20:40 PM »
I've created an open-source chemistry dictionary which can be integrated into Microsoft Word and OpenOffice.org Writer.

It can be downloaded here: http://www.chemspy.com/chemistry-news/open-access-organic-dictionary.html

It is fairly organic-heavy, but should be applicable to all disciplines.  It currently only employs US spellings but UK spellings are an upgrade I am looking at with priority.

I hope my fellow chemists may find this useful.

(aww... this was my very first post here...)

I have completed a major upgrade to the chemistry dictionary with the help of chemspider.com. The dictionary now has ~140,000 words.

Read my write up about the dictionary and download the file (for free!) here:
