Gas liquid chromatography (GLC) and High Performance Liquid Chromatogra[hy (HPLC), analytical techniques used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of drugs, complement each other.

What do you think?

The bit in boldface, why is that so?  What supporting facts can you offer?

Think about the basics of each technique and whether they contrast or complement each other and go from there.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

I don't think that the retention time, area of peak and detectors are the same for GC and HPLC.

Think of what type of sample that are suited for HPLC resp. GC.

I agree with JGK to think about the basics.

GLC injection system needs high temperature while HPLC doesn't. For samples which are thermally unstable and very difficult to vapourize, HPLC is preference.

GLC offers more variety of liquid stationary phase, therefore GLC may provide a better separation for some sample which HPLC couldn't.
