What is the percentage of CO2 at equilibrium?
« on: December 26, 2008, 11:08:43 AM »
The equilibrium constant for the reaction CO(g) + H2O(g) <-----> CO2(g) + H2(g) is 4 at 1000 K. When equilibrium mixtures of CO and H2O are heated to 1000 K, the percentage of CO2 formed at equilibrium is:

A)67
B)33
C)50
D)78

Please show your effort so far, then we can point you in the right direction. You will not just be given the answer.

Some data are missing!

The problem would become solvable if data on initial composition is provided.

Employees should do one thing: walk over there and you step on the friggin snake." - Jean-Pierre Garnier, CEO of Glaxosmithkline, June 2006
