Solution with Concentration but no known volume
« on: February 11, 2009, 01:29:56 PM »
Hi,
I have a solution with the concentration of 5.01 mg/ml but I don't know the volume. The total amount of solute in it is 0.2 mg. How do I find the volume?

Thanks!

Dividing.

This is simple problem on the HS level, I am moving it from undergraduate forum.

concentration of solution = mass of solute / volume of solution

thus volume is solution is . (do your own algebraic rearrangement)
