Hey Everyone,
I worked out these following problems but I am not 100% sure if they are right, if possible could someone guide me?
1) Magnesium and hydrochloric acid reacts to form magnesium chloride and hydrogen gas
a) What volume of hydrogen is produce when 50.0 grams of magnesium react
My Equation :
50.0 Mg x 1 mol/22.4 Liters x 1 mol Hydrogen/1 mol mg x 2 g Hydrogen/1 mol
my answer: 4.47 Liters
2) Sodium Reacts with water
a) What volume of hydrogen gas will form when 75.0 g of water reacts?
My Equation
75 Grams of H20 x 1 mol/22.4 L STP x 1 mole H/1 mole H20 x 1 gram of Hydrogen/1 mole H20
My Answer
3.3 grams of H
3) Calculate the percent yield of 31.3 grams of carbon dioxide is a actually obtained in part C (which is 11.6 grams CO2)
My Equation: 31.5 grams x 1 mole/14g x 1 mole/1 mol x 11.6/1 mole
My Answer = 38.4 %
Any help appreciated
Thanks again
