HNO3 production process

NH3+O2 :rarrow:H2 + NO {with pt catalysts}

within this reaction the following reaction might place:
NO + NH3 :rarrow:N2 + H2O

what are the ill effects of this reaction?
how to avoid them?

Some specificity of your application is needed.  The production of N2, nitrogen gas, is not an ill effect to most living things, on the surface of the Earth, as that is a major component of the atmosphere.  There may be other things wrong with your plan, so others on the group may want to jump in with more help for you.

actually this is a question i got in a paper..this is wt i think..since its the HNO3 production process, (NO is used to produce HNO3) the above reaction affects the productivity. coz majority of NO is converted into N2 again..so thats the prob frm wt i see..is there a way how i can stop it?

This is an equilibrium reaction, then some H2 and O2 can exist together. This may be extremely dangerous.
