Mass Balancing in Molecular Formulae

i dnt really know how to start this problem
any help.

A certain metal,   M   forms two oxides   M3O   and   M2O.
If the percent by mass of   M   in   M3O   is   75.0 %   what is the percent by mass of   M   in   M2O ?



oh and also.

A compound contains 5.93 percent hydrogen and 94.07 percent oxygen. It's experimentally determined mass is 34.02 g/mol. What is the molecular formula of this compound ?

The first part is a simple Math exercise, use the information given for M3O and then use that to solve the question regarding M2O.

For the second part, you will need to get the atomic wts of hydrogen and Oxygen in order to calculate the structure.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Can you formula some algebra equations from the information given in the question?
