I promised to do a science project in school. I Want to do the Potassium chloride and suger. I have The potassiumm but when i saw that i need Sulfiric acid, i was like "Crap! Where am i going to find this???" I looked on Ebay, But $60 for a liter. and I only need a drop!

Does anyone one know where I can find some? or some sort of substitute that starts the same reaction? Thanks for all your Hel.p You can understand that I dont want to spend over $60 for Acid and have it sitting in my garage for 7 years.

Any drain cleaner you can recemend? I hate freeken canada sometimes! you cant get anything!

If you promised your school that you'd do it in a class, with the suitable precautions in place, then they'd surely get it for you.  They may even already have it in a lab.  There was always 100 ml or so of every acid I'd ever want, even in grammar school.  However, it was always in a locked cabinet.  I might even have said something like, "Oh Sister, I could have sooo much fun with that one there."  And she'd go, "I'm sure you could," as she clicked the lock shut.

30 % sulfuric acid is used in lead-acid car batteries

KCl is used as fertilizer

I appreciate for nope Hel.p, Do you think that 30% Would high enough to dominate the KCl? Or do I have to go though the trouble of boiling it and almost killing myself? Also, I checked the School, And unfortunately, There out. Aslo, How would I even get the acid out of the batery?

Have you tried the local pharmacy? When I was in the UK as a kid and needed additional stuff to play with my chemistry set, my parents used to get me stuff from the local pharmacist.
