Question about solubility

Now I did 1st year chem a few years ago but only the first semester and we didn't cover solubility in any detail.

Lets say we have two compounds, compound 1 is highly soluble and will dissolve ~150grams in 100ml of water at room temperature, compound 2 is relatively insoluble and will only dissolve 0.5 grams in 100ml water at room temperature. Lets say that both compounds do not react with each other.

If you mix 40 grams of compound 2 with 1 gram of compound 1 in a 100ml solution of water what will be the ratio of dissolved compounds be?

Will compound 1 due to its high relative solubility completely dissolve and force compound 2 to precipitate? or will the large amounts of compound 2 force some of it to dissolve.

You tell me, you just supplied the solubility. Just math.

If compound 2 is insoluble, why would it need to precipitate? It is still in solid form by the solubility.

What Im asking is the fact that you added another compound to the mix not going to change how much dissolves. Lets say you have 10 compounds that will dissolve 1g per 100ml, if you add 1g of all 10 compounds to the 100ml, will 1g of each of them still dissolve?

Not necesarilly, but there is no one simple, general rule that will help answer your question. If these are soluble salts with known solubility products and some common ions, you can try to estimate their concetrations in saturated solution. If you are talking about mixture of any random substances, no way to answer the question.

Ah ok, I thought there might be a law or rule to help answer it. What kind of things are needed to be known to calculate something like that? or is it a matter of doing it and finding out?

*Ignore me, I am impatient*, what kind of things will change the solubility? is there any way to get a rough estimate?
