Can someone explain to me how gravity column chromatography works?? I know that you have two phases a mobile phase and a stationary phase and that the stationary phase acts as the asorbent phase.
Another question in column chromatography the collections are in fractions why is that

You seem to know, or at least have the beginnings of all the facts you need to understand column chromatography. What are you missing? What other methods do you know, that you can compare the knowledge to?
