Hmm. A vacuum evaporator uses a vacuum to lower the boiling point of a liquid so you can evaporate it off at a lower temperature. Vapour Deposition is something else. This coats a substarate with a chemical in layers, molecule by molecule by sputtering molecules of said chemical onto the surface through a vacuum. I think you mean the latter. Have a look at these:
