help with gas laws?

Given each of the following sets of values for an ideal gas, calculate the unknown quantity.

    (a) P = 775 mm Hg; n = 0.230 mol; T = 23°C. What is the volume?
    (in liters)

    (b) V = 691 mL; n = 0.0979 mol; T = 297 K. What is the pressure?
    (in mm Hg)

    (c) P = 737 mm Hg; V = 12.7 L; n = 0.387 mol. What is the temperature?
    (in Kelvin)

OK, lets start with the gas law equation.  Can you plug in the known values, the re-arrange, to solve these problems yourself?

All you need to use for all three of these problems is the ideal gal law equation, which is:

PV=nRT

Take note of your gas constant, R. Make sure you're consistant with your pressure, as there are several gas constants. If your pressure is in kPa, make sure you use an R that includes kPa.
