hey everyone nice to find this group of people.....any ways my question is

 Consider a one amino acid substitution (mutation in  a protein).
  How would the free energy change as you perturb the structure from amino acid 1 to
amino acid 2?  Does it make a difference if the mutation is in the active site or
in a region far removed from it?
