Oxidation of Borneol to Camphor

Hi guys,

I'm trying to determine the balanced equation for the oxidation of borneol (C10H18O) to camphor (C10H16O) with HOCl going to HCl.

I thought the answer was C10H18O + HOCl ---> C10H16O + HCl + H2O but apparently this is wrong.

What am I missing?

Also, I need to find the balanced equation for the oxidation of borneol to camphor using sodium dichromate in acid.

Once again, I thought: Cr2O7 -2 + 3 C6H12O +8 H+ = 2Cr+3 + 3C6H10O +7H2O was the right answer, but I was wrong. 

Maybe I'm making the same mistake in both?

Any suggestions would be awesome!! :D

Both equations are balanced correctly.
In the second one use 2- and 3+ for charges instead of -2 and +3
