Sterilizing w/out an autoclave
« on: May 13, 2009, 06:49:15 PM »
I need to sterilize a needle with out an autoclave. Its 6ga and 6 inches long, all metal.

my question's are,
Is there a way to sterilize it by boiling it?
would i have to use distilled water?
how log would i have to boil it for?

I was thinking of flaming it till it gets red hot then quenching it in %70 Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol but its to long for me to get hot all at once.

any thoughts?

What has it been used for and what do you need to use it for?
