Can some one show me how to do this problem.
I have a few of them to do and just need this one completed as an example.
Calculate osmolarity of 6.5% w/v Na
2
SO
4
.
Relative atomic masses (amu): O = 16.0, Na = 23.0, S = 32.1
Thanks

Change the w/v concentration to molarity. When the salt dissociates fully, the osmolarity is result of multiplication molarity with the number of ions from one particle. For example 1 mol/L NaCl is 2 osmol/L.
