Obiter Research's specialty is custom synthesis on the milligram to kilogram scale.  All of our chemists hold PhD’s in Organic Chemistry.  We operate our own 20,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Champaign, IL.  We perform all of our own chemistry on site.   We have had a lot of success with startup pharmaceutical companies, developing libraries of compounds for them, that have made their ways into clinical trials.  Our chemists are available for FTE research or contract synthesis projects.  We are actively working on process development projects and custom manufacturing. 

We typically synthesize the hard to find compounds which are difficult to make.  We often receive projects from other providers that have failed in their endeavors.  You can get a rough idea of our capabilities by looking at our product catalog on our website.  Our Midwest location and our internal green energy initiative allows us to be very competitive on pricing. 

We have a full on site analytical lab which includes a 400mHz NMR, GC/MS, HPLC’s, GC’s and an LC/MS among our equipment inventory.  We have the capability to synthesize non-radioactive isotopes (cold labeled compounds).  You can take a look at our facility and capabilities on our website:  www.obires.com
