type of gloves for nanoparticles?
« on: December 19, 2009, 04:29:00 AM »
Hi
I am working with synthesis of iron nanoparticles. What kind of gloves are suitable while working with iron nanopaerticles? Can nanoparticle enter through commonly used plastic gloves (at present i am using that)? I am scared about it as nanoparticle can enter into human body through the pores of skin. During washing of glasswares etc. my gloves come in contact with iron nanoparticles. So, what kind of gloves i can use ?

How small are these nanoparticles?

At least they are made of iron.

Instead of rinsing them, I would dissolve them (iron dissolves in most acids, its oxides in a hydroxide).
Neither flask nor beaker.
