Polymer paper
« on: July 08, 2009, 01:28:13 AM »
Sanitary pads feature polymer paper for the absorption of fluids. As it absorbs fluids, it turns into a gel-like substance.  Does this have any potential hazards to the woman's body? Any benefits?  Anything else to note?

Thanks,

jon

It is fairly benign - it is usually a simple copolymer of the sodium salt of acrylic acid and some comonomer.
