 :( hie i need some help regarding my final year project
for the characterization of my sample im using UV-Vis. my solvent is sulphuric acid.the content is Ce(IV) As(III)-Iodide plus lead (II). the problem is i cant get a nice spectrum. i tried making all my stock solutions again but got the same results. anybody knows how to overcome this problem. Besides that can anybody tell me wat is inhibitory effect? thanks.

Harsh, but it is going to have to be said:

You question is too vague.
Your English is awful.
The background you have provided is not sufficient.

Are these stock solutions prepared the individual elements in this mixed solution?

Absorbency is additive ie:

A=ex.(wavelength).L.[х] + ey.(wavelength).L.[y].

Look up some UV-vis stuff in analytical chemistry textbooks.
