Chemical Reaction
« on: September 21, 2009, 12:33:37 AM »
When I mix sodium carbonate with calcium chloride, I get a white precipitate.  I then take that mixture and add sulfuric acid. It bubbles violently (carbon dioxide is produced) and gets warmer.
What would happen if I added the sodium carbonate and the sulfuric acid to the calcium chloride all at once/at the same time?
Thanks!

Would it not be reasonable to write the balanced equations for you original reactions?
