Stencils or Glue?
« on: November 28, 2009, 01:21:23 PM »
So, I have created these pieces of plywood (circles) that are going to be placed on top of old tires. These tires with their plywood platform tops are going to be used to exercise with (jumping on and off of them, doing squats, balancing, etc.)

The problem is, on the plywood (which has been stained), I need to place our logo on it. What method would you go about doing this? Now there are going to be numerous people jumping on and off of this...so it can't just be glued onto the plywood. We were thinking about getting ironwork done to burn the logo onto the plywood...but this is too expensive.

- Are there any ways of stenciling the diagram on the wood? - with what type of paint, etc?
- Are there any ways of taking the diagram (on a sheet of paper) and gluing it on top of the plywood and then layering it with some type of protective coating? - with what type of coating, etc?
- Do you suggest any methods?

Thanks. :)

Car spray paint (the graffiti artist choice) and a stencil. I think you can also buy clear sealant varnish in spray cans as well.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
