The question is Why is salicylic acid more soluble in 1-octanol than in water.
Ive been browsing the net for info but cant find anything related to the question. All i found was that salicylic acid has poor absorption in water (0.2 g/100 mL H2O at 20 °C)
Unfortunately for me i struggle alot with organic chemistry as think the answer in this question might have something to do with their chemical stuctures. Any help would be much appreciated.
