We did a lab in chem involving Fe(SCN-) and using Beer's law and absorbency to find the equilibrium constant.
For the data we have .0025 M Fe(NO3)3 in .1M HNO3, .0025 M KSCN- in .5M KSCN, and .1M HNO3 (the stock solutions).
1. Make a working solution from the stock 0.0025 M Fe(NO3)3 by diluting 4.0 mL to exactly 100.00 mL.
And much more important:
The data I have gives the following info:
Fe3+ (mL): .1.0
KSCN (mL): .5.0
HNO3 (mL): 4.0
ttl vol:(mL): 10.0
Absorb.: .1
[Fe(SCN)]:
How do you find the concentration of Fe(SCN)?
Thanks!!!
