I've recently returned to uni after about a 3 year break and I'm struggling to finish the pre-lab questions for my first experiment. I just can't remember how to do some things. Any help for the following would be greatly appreciated, even if it's a link to a helpful page or just some tips.
The experiment is a strong acid, strong base titration. Fairly simple, I just don't remember.
1) If the HCl has a concentration of 0.1M, what is the rough volume of NaOH needed to complete titration? (am I supposed to look for other numbers given in the experiment or do I go by this alone? I'm not sure what equation to use)
2) There are two ways to calculate standard deviation. Which formula would you use for pipette calibration and why? (I can't remember any standard deviation calculations. How would I know which is more suitable for a pipette calibration?)
3) Calculate rough titre you would expect for mass of 0.4 KHP if concentration of NaOH is 0.1M. (again, just need to know what calculation I'm supposed to use)
