Flasks illegal in the US?
« on: December 21, 2009, 09:54:14 AM »
I just read there that all chemistry flasks are illegal to own without a license in the US. Is that true? Thats one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. What the hells wrong with America? I'm glad I don't live there.

That's not entirely true, but AFAIK there are some local limitations. From what I remember in Texas you have to be licensed chemist to own some kinds of glass, thats to make life difficult for all meth makers. Classical case of throwing kid with a bath.

You may search forums, thats not the first time problem is being discussed.

Yeah, I think it is only true in Texas.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex
