Do you know of any websites that will explain to me atomic emission spectra?

I've been reading a lot and watching a lot of videos, but basically, the only info I've gotten is:
- ground state
- excited state- they emit energy --> light when they drop to a lower level

but then in my textbook, I'm being asked questions like:
- draw an arrow on the diagram to represent the electron transition for the ionization of hydrogen

which i don't know how to answer
