Force constants
« on: December 24, 2009, 07:03:41 AM »
Hi guys, I'd apreciate help with one problem. I'm looking for force constants of chemical bonds (I'm interested particulary in force constant of the bond in N2). Do you have any idea where could I find them or better how could i calculate them?

most of the force constants are in molecular mechanics parameters. are you familiar with molecular mechanics? the force constant you use depends on some other parameters and the model of potential energy vs displacement (morse potential, LJ potential, etc). which one are you using? is this for a class?
