Hey guys,
This week we did an experiment.

We isolated caffeine from tea.
so after filtration we had our sample of crude caffeine
Then we started to purify it.
We used Thin Layer Chromatography

Anyways, my question is this...
Why is the yield less than 100% ?

I assuming it is because of human errors?
