Hi guys, I am new to the forum and really need some help with my University Project. I have madeup 35% by mass aqueous solution of Polyacrylic acid (PAA) to distilled water. I weighed out 0.52g PAA and to calculate the amount of distilled water I needed at
(35% m/m). 0.52/35*100=1.486
1.486-0.52= 0.966 g of distilled water
Now this is the part where I'm confused. I have some Tartaric acid (powder form), says 99.7% on the bottle assuming thats the concentration (not sure of the relevance). How would I go about adding 5% by mass Tartaric acid to the PAA soultion above.
