Tollen's test
« on: February 09, 2010, 02:49:53 PM »
I was just wondering if Copper nitrate (CuNO3) could replace Silver Nitrate (AgNO3) in Tollen's test with the same effect...

And I'd like to know if copper would stick to a silver mirror done with another Tollen's test.

Thanks

My gut feel is no, but there is a way to plate glass with copper, though it is much more involved than the tollens' test.
