Reaction of Sucrose with water

Hi guys...
I was wondering how sucrose reacts with water..
i know that sucrose is a molecular compound. but
dunno what kinda reaction it goes through while it dissolves..
can somebody explain the process in detail

Sucrose do not react with water. The dissolution process is purely physical one. it involves formation of hydrogen bond between the -OH groups of sucrose and water molecules.
