Why is Gallium Bromide GaBr3?

Hello, I've been trying to figure this out and just can't seem to fully understand it.  Shouldn't it be Gallium(III) Bromide?

It is also Gallium (III) bromide. Normally we can omit the oxidation state in the name if the compound typically only forms one oxidation state as opposed to multiple oxidation states (i.e. we can say sodium chloride and not sodium (I) chloride).
