So the chemical formula for dopamine is C8H11NO2 and it looks like this:
http://www.bip.bham.ac.uk/osmart/msctox/dopamine.jpg
A primary amine is an ammonia in which one hydrogen atom has been replaced by an alkyl group. A secondary amine is an ammonia in which two hydrogen atoms have been replaced by alkyl groups and a tertiary amine is an ammonia in which three hydrogen atmos have been replaced by alkyl groups.
So if I'm understanding the diagram, dopamine should be a primary amine. Is that right?

To determine Amine
3 - # hydrogens bonded to nitrogen
RNH2 --> (3-2) = 1 --> Primary
R1R2NH --> (3-1) = 2 --> Secondary
R1R2R3N --) (3-0) = 3 --> Tertiary
