Reaction Between Sodium Thiosulhate and HCL
« on: March 22, 2010, 09:21:05 AM »
I've been investigating the reaction between Na2S2O3 and Hydrochloric Acid to determine the orders of reaction and the rate equation.

Can any one give me standard values for the oreders reaction with respect to Na2S2O3 and HCl?

The problem is that I need to quote the source that I've found them from, so could you add the website or details of the book (Title, Author, Publisher, Year of Publishing etc) where the figures are found?

Thanks a lot in advance

Alice

The reaction is

         Na2S2O3 + 2 HCl  :rarrow: 2 NaCl + SO2 + S + H2O
