Hey I'm new to this forum, I'm also knew to chemistry so sorry in advanced if this post seams stupid or if its in the wrong place
A friend of mine was planing on doing an acid base extraction on some on plant based material.
He cant find any full range ph testing paper in the area he lives and buying off the internet is not an option as the extraction has been planed for this weekend.
So he was wondering if someone could help him with the following
How much sodium hydroxide would be needed to turn one litre of water to a ph of 2?
How much hydrochloric acid would be needed to turn one litre of water to a ph of 14?
My friends hydrochloric acid came from a pool shop and is only 30% pure so this also needs to be taken into consideration.
Any help would be appreciated
