Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.

Daltonists do not notice this problem.

If they're nanocrystals, are they even visible by optical microscopy?

I'm afraid there is a misunderstanding here. The authors talked about "The Prussian Blue Crystal" rather than any other crystal that is blue in color. Everyone knows "The Prussian Blue Crystal" is blue, so an optical pic is not necessary.

Reproducing exactly hue in print (or on the screen) is so difficult image can be pointless.

Prussian blue absorbs light around 680 nm and its colloidal solutions are blue. I haven't seen its monocystals (can be obtained by slow evaporation of concentrated HCl solution  - about month) but its color is described as dark (without blue).
