Why were iron filings used in this lab
« on: May 09, 2010, 11:02:30 AM »
The lab question is asking "Why did we use iron in the form of filings?"
Any ideas??

They were put into some CuSO4 solution (CuSO4 + Fe --> FeSO4 + Cu)
