All,

I am looking for some literature which reports the role, competencies, responsibilities etc. of the process engineer in a chemical plant. In my case, this position is of new creation as up to now there was only a production engineer working with the plant manager. Now, in order to optimize some facilities, a process engineer is about to be hired.

Any recommendations? I've heard of
Principles of Process Engineering by S. M. Henderson, Robert L. Perry, and J. H. Young

Any opinion on that?
