Thermodynamics Question
« on: July 12, 2010, 07:55:14 PM »
Hi all, having trouble with this "work" question, I get the concept of work but the extra details in the sentences below the reaction are throwing me off...

for this reaction:
N2(g)+3 H2(g)>2 NH3(g) dH=-92.2 kJ

The reaction was carried out at 40 atm, the volume decreased by 1.12L and 35L of ammonia gass was collected after the reaction chamber was returned to room temp and pressure.
work in kJ

how do I figure out how much work is being performed? thanks for any *delete me*!
