I am moulding a hot melt stick from purchased hot melt pellets (ethylene vinyl acetate) for retail...

I need to turn this stuff a light blue with some pigment...

Should I use a water based pigment, or a solvent based pigment?

Someone had suggested using a blue crayon to tint the hot melt

Any suggestions?
