dehalogenation of chloropyridine

i want to dehalogenate substituted pyridine the halogen is chloro group on pyridine i tried with zn/acetic acid & PD/C/H2 but no
good result could anybody suggest me some good reagent for the same??

Perhaps try Rieke zinc? Maybe your zinc just wasn't activated enough.

If selectivity isn't an issue, you could try a simple Grignard degredation. Form the Grignard from chloropyridine, then quench it with water or methanol.

Pearlman's catalyst is good for hydrogenolysis, its worth a shot.
