how to mask antimony and tallium
« on: August 25, 2010, 01:34:48 PM »
My task is to determine gold in ppm, even ppb concentration in lead ore. I'm using rhodamine B-benzene extraction method and spectrophotometer. But Sb and Tl  interfere seriosly in the measurment, so I have to mask them somehow, before or after the extraction. May I use EDTA in this case?

Another issue is the precipitation of gold-chlorine complex with SnCl, without using elemental Te as colector (simply dont have any Te, producers offer only TeO ). So I'm wondering are there any substitute fot Te as colectors?
