detect N2 produced in reactions of metals and HNO3

Hi!

Somebody please tell me some methods to recognize it if N2 is produced in reactions of metals and HNO3.

Thank you in advance!

N2 is a gas, so if you get a gas, then you may have N2
I've never seen a mole in a bag of animal crackers , but I've heard they're tasty. Can I have one please :)

No. If there is a gas between products, it is most likely one of the nitrogen oxides.

true but some of the metals when reacts with HNO3 produces Hidrogen as a gas

This is tricky. You have highly reactive hydrogen (strong reducing agent) and nitric acid (strong oxidizing agent). They react immediately, so hydrogen doesn't survive long enough to leave the solution in substantial amounts.

Hi!

Some rough ideas, never tried:
Catch the evolving gases in a gas syringe, let enter  enough O2 to oxidize NO to NO2, dissolve the brown NO2 in distilled water, if there is N2 present it will remain for the most undissolved.
Or measure the density of the gaseous mixture with a gas syringe and compare it to table values?
Gas chromatography?
