Would you please help me with the mechanism of this reaction?
Any hint would be OK.
At my own guess, the intermediate might be a furan-like 5-membered ring fused with a benzene ring...anyway, it's just a intuitive guess...
And what also disturbs me is that whether the dioxiane serves as a nucleophile or it's just a solution.
