H-NMR help
« on: October 03, 2010, 08:27:07 AM »
hi just a quick question abt a NMR problem

if say metabolite 1 on treatment with enzyme B-glucuronidase gave a substance identical to metabolite 2 by chromotography, mass spectra and H-NMR pectra does that mean metabolite 1 is a glucuronide ion of metabolite 2?

No, it does not mean that, what else can happen?

If everything is identical chromatography, NMR etc perhaps the new compound is an enantiomer of the first one?
