Hi,
I am replicating a process i have on an old patent , it calls for a liquid nitrogen cooled reciever flask , does anyone know how would i set this up? , in the past ive just used dry ice for similar process in a batch reaction but this is a continuous distillation and every different version of the same process calls for liquid nitrogen cooled reciever flask and condensor, how would i cool the flask with nitrogen , i have only ever used the nitrogen from a gas bottle with a regulator to bleed it in to remove air in the distillation
Ive been using std quickfit glass in the past, but for this ive welded stainless up for the fractionating collum, condensor and im joining it to the glass flasks with metal flask lids and ptfe seals
the reciever im not sure, wether to weld a stainless one up, or to use a jacketed glass flask? , how would i cool it with liquid nitrogen? is it safe to cool glassware with nitrogen?
( hope someone can *delete me*), Thanks
