ORP/Reduction Potential
« on: October 27, 2010, 11:38:32 PM »
Hi all,

I have a problem that has got me stumped. I was wanting to know if there is a way of determining the amount of Hydrogen Peroxide that needs to be added to a solution of sulfuric acid and water to give a reduction potential of ~500mV.

The solution is 15L cosisting of 17mL of Sulfuric Acid and the remainder water. So approximately how much peroxide addition is needed to give a potential of ~500mV?

Thanks in advance.

Obvious approach would call for using a Nernst equation.
