With regards to the triplet and singlet spin functions, what exactly does normalisation and orthogonality mean? I know what they refer to for other wavefunctions, but i've been asked to show that these spin functions are orthogonal and normalised and haven't a clue where to begin.

And why do you think that the mathematical concepts of normalization and orthogonality of functions may change with the type of function involved?
